Go Seahawks!Position Overview:Keiser University Daytona Beach is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Director for our well-established Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Our program is recognized for its exceptional reputation with local healthcare facilities and is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP). We are looking for a dynamic leader who is passionate about sonography education and committed to maintaining and enhancing the quality of our program.Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the daily operations of the Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, ensuring compliance with CAAHEP accreditation standards and University policies.- Develop, implement, and monitor curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and prepares students for successful careers in sonography.- Advise and mentor students, providing guidance on academic and career development.- Manage program resources, and equipment to ensure efficient and effective program delivery.- Participate in continuous program evaluation and improvement efforts, including data collection and analysis for accreditation purposes.- Represent the program at University events, professional meetings, and community engagements.Qualifications:- Masters or better in Health Science or related field- Current ARDMS certification in at least one specialty area.- At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role within a sonography program, preferably as a Program Director.- Demonstrated experience in curriculum development and accreditation processes.- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.- Commitment to student success and the ability to inspire and motivate both students and faculty.Why Join Keiser University?- Be part of a supportive and collaborative academic community.- Contribute to a program with a strong reputation and established relationships with local healthcare facilities.- Opportunities for professional growth and development.- Competitive salary and benefits package.Application Process:Interested candidates must submit a resume. The Two Wolves (A Short Story About Life)It made my kids think.An old Cherokee chief sat down to teach his grandson about life.“There’s a fight going on inside me,” he tells the young boy, “a fight between two wolves.”“One wolf is evil. It’s full of malice, anger, greed, self-pity and false pride. The other is good. It’s full of peace, love, joy, kindness, and humility.”“This same fight is going on inside you and everyone else on the face of the earth.”The grandson was quiet, pondering this revelation for a moment before asking, “Grandfather, which wolf will win?”The old man smiled and replied, “The one you feed.”Moral of the story:Good and evil exist within each of us. It’s our responsibility to own that reality and do whatever we can to nurture the good.
